Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar
University Agra (formerly Agra University) covers the entire Braj
area of the State of Uttar Pradesh, established in 1927, it is one
of the oldest University of the country. It is also one of the
biggest affiliating University of India with nearly 60 affiliated
colleges/Institutes. Where around 2 lakhs of students are educated
in various programmes in Information Technology (IT), Management,
Engineering, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, Life Science and Medicines. It has also a fast growing
residential wing
with a number of institutes on the campus imparting instructions
in Professional Courses, Education, Management and Computer Courses,
Engineering, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and
Languages, in addition to the large number of its affiliated
Colleges/Institutes.
The University has
made great progress in the recent years and has started new
courses specially in the field of Education Information Technology,
Management, Biotechnology. The University is putting emphasis on the new emerging
areas in these fields and are making an all-out efforts to provide
necessary resources to the students and faculty members.
